Kaslo Sourdough at events to introduce our pastas!

We love attending a variety of event! We've also been lucky to win several awards over the years, so this list include a few of the awards ceremonies we've been to as well. Some of the events we've been out at over the years include:

From the Ground Up Trade Show, Vancouver BC (2026)

It was such a pleasure exhibiting at the From the Ground Up Trade Show at the PNE in Vancouver, BC in 2026. With approximately 70 vendors, all BC-based processors, the event was a fantastic opportunity to connect with both buyers and fellow businesses from across the province.

The buyers were friendly and engaged, and it was especially meaningful to meet many of the customers we regularly communicate with by email in person for the first time. It was also exciting to see so many new and emerging businesses showcasing their products and ideas.

To top off a wonderful event, we were honoured to be presented with the award for Best Booth at the Show, voted on by attendees.

Basin Food and Buyers Expo, Nelson BC (2025) 

Our first show in 5 years, in the West Kootenays for November 2025. It was lovely to reconnect with familiar faces, meet new products and owners, and build new connections with presenters and visitors.

This was one of the local events in the West Kootenays that we prioritized for 2019. We had a lot of fun, recognizing folks and meeting new ones that had been eating our sourdough breads and pastas for years! Truly a joy!

BC Food and Beverage Awards Gala, Vancouver BC 2019, 2021

In 2019, our owner/operator, Silvio Lettrari, was nominated for a leadership award in 2019, and made it to become a finalist! The BCFPA developed a short video as a part of making it to the finals (YouTube). We were super excited to attend the award gala and celebrate the visionary at the head of our company. We are once again nominated for an award in 2021: new product of the year for our innovative sourdough spaghetti! We'll keep you posted on how we do!

Trade Accelerator Program (TAP), Kelowna BC 2018

This event was important for us to learn about the global trade and export world. We found this event helpful, but still have a lot to learn about how to expand our sales into international markets!

Okanagan Eats!, Kelowna BC 2018

We loved this event! People who are passionate about food go to Okanagan Eats! to have some face-to-face time with some of their favourite food production companies. Everyone we met brought great questions and really lovely compliments about our pastas. So much food fun!

The VegExpo, Vancouver BC 2017

This event has changed names, and is now "Planted Life". We had a great time at this conference, introducing our hemp sourdough pasta, which won a product of the year award! All of our many varieties of sourdough pastas are vegan, and we were really happy to meet with the vegan community in Vancouver and beyond.

The Kootenay Healthy Lifestyle Expo, Trail BC 2017-2019

Another fantastic event local to the Kootenays. This made our drive a lot shorter than to some of the other big cities that we've had to travel to! This event brings together people interested in healthy lifestyles.

The Healthy Family Expo, Vancouver BC 2017

This was a super fun event! We loved talking to parents keen to introduce their kids to healthy products, and we loved describing our "dinosaur bones" radiatori to spark ideas. It was a big hit!

Kaslo Food Conference, Kaslo BC 2016

This was a wonderful food-focused event right in our hometown! Because this event was right in town, we had a blast talking sourdough pasta and catching up on the latest local news with those we saw.

The Health Shows - Victoria BC (2016, 2017),  Vancouver BC (2017)

This weekend event brings together a variety of products, companies, and people interested in living a healthier lifestyle. We were a good fit with our healthful sourdough pastas.

Natural Products Expo West – Anaheim, CA USA 2015

This was a huge event for Kaslo Sourdough to get to and introduce our sourdough pastas. It was also our first travelling internationally! We took part in the British Columbia Pavilion, where we were joined by about a dozen other companies from our province. We were also nominated for a "Nexty" Award, that recognize the most progressive, innovative, inspiring and trustworthy products in the natural products industry, which we ended up winning at the Expo West that year!

Stimulating Health Eating 2014

This event was an online campaign for a number of BC products to encourage healthy eating. Funded by the Province of BC and supported by Grounded Strategies, we were one of the companies promoted.

Farm Food Fork, Nelson BC 2014

Their tagline is "forum, festival, feast". We were happy to attend this event, one of the first by the West Kootenay Permaculture Co-op. They brought speakers together to both celebrate and discuss food priorities in the West Kootenays.

BC FoodPro West, Vancouver BC 2014, 2015, 2019

This is one of the signature BC food conferences, hosted by the BC Food and Beverage Association. We joined other food and beverage manufacturers to network, connect with buyers, and learn more about the latest happenings in food for BC.

Activate Ottawa Health and Fitness Expo, Ottawa ON 2014

2014 was the first year this event ran. It had and continues to have a big focus on health and fitness. It was a good fit for us because we know our pastas are a healthy fuel (our sourdough pastas) to support an active lifestyle!

The Health and Beauty Show and Wellness Fair, Kelowna BC (2014-2019), Calgary AB (2017), Vernon BC (2018)

This show was started in 2010, and has a sister event in Vernon, BC. It's a free event that allowed us to connect with foodies and folks interested in health. We had a great time talking sourdough and pasta at these events.

Canadian Health Food Association Conference (CHFA), Vancouver BC 2013, 2018

This was our first and still one of the largest events we attended. The CHFA West continues to be the number one source for new products and education for retailers who are doing business in Western Canada.  With over 900 exhibiting companies and a highly qualified selection of speakers, this four-day kept us really busy!
