Whole grain flours and sourdough are a large part of what make our pastas, along with the other top-notch ingredients we use. Whole grain means that you get the whole grain: bran, germ, and endosperm. It means you get a better source of fibre and other important nutrients like the B vitamins iron, folate, selenium, potassium and magnesium. This contrasts with other products that are made from refined flours and miss some of the important parts of the grain, such as the bran and the germ.

See the list below of our healthy pastas made with whole grain flour. We choose high quality Canadian grains for all of our pastas, and use top-notch Italian machinery with bronze plates. We also gather and use water from our natural spring in the heart of the Selkirk Mountains.
You won't find another whole grain flour pasta like ours! The sourdough helps to bring out the flavours of the grains and break down the proteins (like gluten) so it's easy on our guts.
Another change you'll notice is in the cooking time: the sourdough changes the structure of the pasta so it's quick to cook. Only 5 or 6 minutes for al dente! You get all the nutrients from the whole grains made in a way that's easy to absorb because of the sourdough that we use. Who could have thought that pasta could taste so good and be good for us at the same time?
