Ingredients:

Serves 4 | Prep time: 5 minutes | Cook time: 20 minutes

  • 1 lb. lean ground beef
  • 2 cups Spelt Clear Fusilli Kaslo Sourdough Pasta
  • 1 tablespoon barbeque sauce
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon pepper
  • 3 cups broth (or milk for extra creaminess)
  • 1 1/2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 cup sour cream

Instructions:

  1. In a large saucepan, cook beef until pink is no longer visible. Meanwhile, shred your cheese. Drain any grease from the pan.
  2. Add barbecue sauce, garlic powder, onion powder and salt and pepper. (You may want to omit salt depending on how salty your broth is).
  3. Turn the heat to low, and add the broth and sourdough pasta. Cover for 10 minutes.
  4. Stir in shredded cheese and sour cream. Top with fresh or dried herbs.

Serve and Enjoy!

Vegan One Pot Dish:

  1. Preheat oven to 425 degrees
  2. Add all ingredients to pan/casserole dish
  3. Stir well till all ingredients well coated
  4. Cover
  5. Bake for 20 minutes , stir well, and bake for another 20 minutes, checking to make sure it is not over cooked.
  6. Squeeze fresh lemon over pasta before serving.

Special Note: You can change up the veggies and / or spices to your liking. Zucchini, cauliflower, peas, green beans etc.
